About Us Diabetes Prevention and Education Program
WebIf you are currently pregnant or already have diabetes, you are not eligible to participate in the Diabetes Prevention Program. To learn more about the program and/or enroll, call MedStar Family Choice Member Services at 888-404-3549 between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays or contact to your primary care provider. WebMost of our classes and support groups are open to anyone, not just patients of UMCDE. This includes our: Diabetes prevention program for people who have prediabetes. Diabetes Self-Management Training which is open to people with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. To schedule an appointment, call 443-682-6800. WebThe program is free, but you must pre-register, as space is limited. In order to qualify you must be prediabetic, NOT diabetic.
